Trip to jeju

Jeju- The tourist island of South Korea. Best known for its Honeymoon travel schedules.. My family loves spending hours in water.. And Jeju, being an Island couldn't be less than 'perfect'

As my semester was to begin in a week, My hubby and I decided for a leisure trip before the pressure of studies began. So, we planned a short 3-day trip to Jeju do. Doniv(our son) is also crazy about beaches and hence jeju the perfect spot for the tour plan.
Jeju is just an hour's journey by flight from Gimpo Airport. We travelled to Gimpo from Suwon in our car. Once we reached Jeju, we hired a car for our sightseeing. We were a little concerned about Doniv being healthy through-out our fun-trip. I had managed to carry few important things(water tudes, swim wears. medicines, etc) to have a safe and fun trip.
I am bloggin in here for few good and memorable tips for a trip to Jeju.

some of the must do things in Jeju would be :

  • Take those horse-rides which offer your photo packages. During our first year of marriage, we had gone for one and the clock with my picture that they had in our package is still with us :).

  • Experience the Kalchi dish - The most popular seafish food in jeju

  • Jeju is very popular for their juicy oranges.. No other fruit in korea is as tasty as Jeju Tangerines(stated by Jeju tourim organization)

  • Take one of those GoKarting rides... We enjoyed it soo much. They generally dont allow you to take pictures.. but being foreigners we had the advantage.. ;) Doniv enjoyed his ride with his pappa. They took a double kart and I was in one of those singles. They overtook me almost 7 times while I struggled to atleast not let them cross me the next time. However, in my struggle, i had a big bang on those side tyres. Ultimately, It was soo much fun :).

  • And then we visited the Aligator Land. The best part of this show for us was that there were not many audiences for the show. So we were offered a chance to actually sit and click pictures on those crocs..
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkksss scary scary. I didn't have the guts to even get into the croc's ring while Doniv was soo bold to actually sit on it without fear. When we asked him if he wasn't scared, guess what he replied?? :"Its dead mummy.. dont get scared".. HAHAHAHAHAHAH.. "Ignorance is bliss" you see

  • We visited the Physche World with lot of hesitation as we didnt exactly make out what it had on the net. But after reaching there we realised we had no need to regret. This place is like a Science museum. It has a maze, A glass house, A small pet house, And a bug's museum within it. We simply enjoyed the place. The best part of this place was that Doniv got to hold some parakeets on his hands. He just loved it. :). Kids of any group would love to be here.

  • Kokkiri land meaning Elephant land.. They gave us a lovely show with elephants. They provide bananas to buy so as ato feed the elephants. Doniv enjoyed feeding them.

  • And finally all those romantic Jeju beaches. We enjoyed them..... We dropped in to around 3 beaches. There was this one beach which had water fountains that was on for kids to play after 6:00pm. We had a blast in those fountains...

We decided to take a nice Hotel on the last day and relax with good food. We booked ShineVille which had 3 swimming pools. We enjoyed the swimming pools which were soo clean and well maintained. The best part of oneof their outdoor poool is that It is scenic as if it was directly connected to the ocean. Wow! Being in this pool was a very romantic and beautiful feeling.

How did we reach Shine Ville is another fun-story. We were supposed to board the Ville's transport bus at a stipulated time, which we missed. hihih.. and so we hopped into another bus to a ville very close to ShineVille. If only they had know that we are to actually stay in its neighboring ville, they wouldn't have offered the drop and we had to wait for 3 hours.... hihihii :)

And now, the day is over and we were to pack back to Suwon :(

That adds on to our lovely memories.
