South Korea - National Science museum(pics)

South Korea - National Science museum

We were on our way from suwon(yeong tong) to Seoul Grand park and happened to see this museum on the way. We instantly decided to take Doniv there hoping to show him the fastest train(Maglev) which he always loved watching on youtube.

I definitely recommend this to all kids at least once when they are in korea. Its truly a scientific experiencef or both you and your kids. As we entered, we saw loads of mechanical playtools for kids. They seemed to be very interesting. Even beeeg xylaphones were available.

The tool what you see below is an x-ray machine through which we can actually see the cancerous cells in the body.

Of all the amusements in this museum, the most fascinating one was the robot dance. The best dance was when the robots did a very fast dance for Indian song.. yea, indian song... They had played daler mehendi's. This could be probably because they saw us there.. Well, we enjoyed it with full josh...

Doniv all excited when he saw the train.  However, we were still hoping to see the MAGLEV somewhere inside.

The pictures below shows the scientific nodes in computerising pottery designs.

The picture below shows of how they generate tremendous volts where you can actually see the brights sparks and heavy sounds. Some kids were even scared at the noise.....

And there you go... we finally saw MAGLEV.... The picture for maglev is not clear to be presented here..sorry about that :)... YOu could as well have a look at it in youtube....

Doniv too keen on stealing Sir. Issac's Apples:).. Well, Sir Issac was too busy to notice this.

Doctor Einstein was quite inspiring. Doniv was too carried away with scientific inputs during their meet ;).

The day ended fine with loads of scientific wonders filling our minds. And Doniv still stern on his ambition of driving the fastest train for his profession. We visited the dinosaurs for a short conversation and returned home :).

Good : Amazing things to see and learn. YOu could spend an entire day here.
Sadly : you will get only snacks and noodles for lunch; however, there a place where you could have your home-food. Also, Most info is in korean.

Easter 2011 with family :)

After having my brother around in Korea, this is the first festival we got to celebrate.

Easter - a Christian festival celebrating the rise of Jesus from death.

We(hubby n myself) had invited over Rakesh(bro) and his friends(Raj, Likith) for Easter(24th Apr2011). I was glad they had arrived the previous evening itself. We had a lot of fun-time together cooking and teasing Doniv. Doniv was overwhelmed to have them home.

We had a splendid evening together at home. Rakesh asked, "Whats cooking for dinner chech(sis)??" It was Chappati and chicken curry. And then these guys settled in for a Wine-night. We had a Wine bottle which was too tough with its cork, So we challenged Rakesh to show off his martial-art skills to open it all alone. The end result - he broke our wine-opener. Maybe we should've tried it ourselves.. hihihih.. Check the picture with the broken opener...

Doniv and myself stayed around for some time and when these guys were getting into talking about all those secrets momenst, Doniv was forced to go to bed.. Along , I dozed away.. hhihii.. Welll.. these guys slept at 3:00am after the great time.

The next day was Easter... I got up early and played some devotional numbers to start the day and then moved on to some pleasant songs to wake of the rest of them. I was more than happy to feel at home with a family-like atmosphere with Rakesh and his friends too along with my own little nest-mates(Vinu and doniv). And needless to say, Doniv and vinu was enjoying their company. After a heavy Easter breakfast(Appam, parata, Egg curry and another non-veg curry), we moved on to play some soccer in the nearby park to transfer all the delicacies we had consumed into some energy...(Like rakesh says)..

After a nice time with loads of tiresome games, we returned home for yet another delicious food-time - lunch(Chicken biriyani and salad with soem custard, ice creams).... And then it was evening.. The day getting dull... These guys(raku, raj and likith) were leaving back to their university).

After they left, We had been to church to complete the celebration on a holy note. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and cute little chickens..Well, that was EASTER 2011 for us...

A wierd nodder's day

One friday evening, back home from work.. I was very excited as it was friday. I decided to  listen to music in full volume over my yepp. Sometimes it seems very mannerless when some teenagers enable their volume to an extent that others can hear; this day I decided to introduce my dear pals(koreans) around me to some Indian music ..:) Afterall, What class of music can beat its variety....

And there I was listening to all varieties.. ranging from old hindi songs like..Jhumka gira re(hindi), AHA ee bedaru gombege(kannada) , Njan-anwar(Malayalam) and many more... But strangely... when I started to listen to 'Njan(malayalam)', I felt that there was this other guy besides, crazier than me listening to some really loud music with heavy headphones and literally nodding his head. It looked really funny. I was wondering if this guy even realized that he was nodding his head. But hey??? He looked like he was nodding for my song. WHAT????... thats crazy...

hmmm.. So, I thought.. maybe its just my feeling or maybe a co-incidence that his nodds are suiting the rhythm of the malayalam song I was listening to. Anyways, I ignored it. But,
I instantly noticed that there was another old lady with a huge basket nodding the same way. WHAT WAS GOING ON??? The teenager, I get it.. maybe he was either teasing me, or a co-incidence.. but then.. This lady?? Strange

With giggles in my heart. I walked off the subway towards the bus-station to board the bus to my house. and there was this loud music with loads of people having gathered near the empty area behind the bus-stop near the subway station...

It was a group of enthusiastic backstreet boys playing their music and having fun dancing.. and many young girls waiting around for their glimpse.  I stood there for sometime amused at their talent and took a short  capture of this amusement..

and boarded my bus home with illusionary thoughts about this journey....

:)

I am sure that everyone reading this would've surely had this kind of illusion at least once in life... Wat say????
